I live on the second floor, on the side facing the parking lot. The building is secure. Problem is that it is so secure, I can hardly get in with my motorized chair. It is a challenge to not break the glass doors or get myself wedged in the door as it is closing on me. Makes everyday life exciting though. The building doesn't tilt, it is just the sidewalk I was on while taking the picture. I took the picture while in front of the firehouse across the street. On another corner is a church and right next to the firehouse is the building where my daughter has her business.
Life on the inside is all about this little girl. I adopted her in July of 2004. She's almost two years old but still very much a kitten except in size. She has no real name. I call her Baby and no one puts her in a corner.
Memorial Day 2005 ------ Newark, New York
The Memorial is in Central Park (the town square.) There was no band because of budget cuts at the high school. Rifles were fired; taps was played. It was a good day.
Years ago, before I had children, I had a cat. I also had a Polaroid camera. I practiced using it by taking many, many pictures of the cat. When Missy (a girl child) was born, she became the focus of my picture taking. By the time I had the two boy children, the Polaroid camera was long gone and there were less pictures of each baby. Now we've come full circle and I'm back to taking pictures of a cat.
Rick is Melissa's husband. He is at three o'clock. She is at five. That is Steve, my youngest at seven. Jen, my daughter in law is at ten and Rob, my middle child and Jen's husband is at twelve.
Opposite take. Jen is at five, Rob at seven Rick is at nine Missy is about eleven and Steve is about two. You may notice the absence of Mom in the picture. Had I gotten on the floor, that is where I'd still be today.
